By Lidia Abraha and Michal Stein
On Monday, November 26, General Motors (GM) announced they will be closing their plant in Oshawa in 2019—putting nearly 3,000 people out of a job. Geoff Zochodne, a reporter for the Financial Post, joins us to talk about the history of the plant and what he’s looking towards as the story unfolds.
As this is our last episode until the new year, we invited some RRJ editors to join our Pull Quotes segment to do a look back at the year in review. They touch on Huffington Post’s new food podcast, an ad about false reports on residential schools in Saskatchewan, journalists calling each other out on Twitter, and more.
